Lou Teasdale has confirmed she wants to marry on-off boyfriend Andy Carroll, despite describing the footballer as someone who 'brings the drama'. The 41-year-old makeup artist spoke about her relationship with the 36-year-old former England striker on the podcast 'We Need To Talk' with Paul Brunson.
Teasdale said: 'I would really like to marry him, yes. So we'll see. But he is still married.' Carroll is currently in divorce proceedings with his estranged wife Billi Mucklow, from whom he split last year. The couple, who have been dating since last year, have reportedly split several times already.
Despite the turbulence, Teasdale insisted they are 'in the same place' and that she has 'never met a lover like that'. She added: 'We've had to try and take it slow and we were really in love. The tabloids again, he brings a lot of tabloid drama, that man. They are obsessed with him.'
A source told the Daily Mail earlier this month that their relationship has been 'in a cycle' of arguments and grand gestures. However, another source said: 'Lou would make a lovely bride. And she's so loved up with Andy that you wouldn't put it past her marrying him sometime soon.'
Carroll has previously spoken of his love for Teasdale, telling The Sun on Sunday: 'I love Lou and I love her family. We row like any couple.' He also addressed his divorce and alcohol consumption, noting that Teasdale has been teetotal for 14 years.
