Lorraine Kelly has swapped her ITV sofa for a Scotland top as she officially arrived in Boston, Massachusetts, ahead of the Scotland vs Morocco game on Friday, June 19. Sharing that there is a lot of "love in the air", the star is ready to start partying with the Tartan Army.

The 66-year-old shared live on TV yesterday (June 17) that she was heading straight to the airport after the talk show finished to make the trip to the States. While she confessed she has "high anxiety" about the tournament, Lorraine is now ready to join the celebrations.

Taking to Instagram, the Scottish presenter announced that her new book, The Island Secret, is out today (June 18) while wearing the Scotland football kit. Many fans were happy to see that Lorraine had arrived safely to the World Cup host city.

In the caption she wrote: "THE ISLAND SECRET out today !! Link to order in my bio. Thanks to everyone who has already ordered! Hello from Boston - the Tartan Army will be out in force later - amazing atmosphere - lots of love in the air."

While highlighting that it is officially publication day of her book, she added in the clip: "I'm actually in Boston for the Scotland vs Morocco game, so I will be celebrating publication day and also - hopefully - a win for Scotland."

Fans and friends of Lorraine have since flooded the comments section, with one person writing: "Love it Lorraine and hope you enjoy the game tomorrow." While another added: "Book ordered, love your top. C'mon Scotland!"

A third social media user also wrote: "Congratulations!!! Have the best time celebrating your publication day and hopefully a Scotland win!"

On yesterday's airing of Lorraine, the host was seen to be a bit apprehensive about the trip, with guest Vogue Williams noting: "I've never seen someone so nervous! It's gonna be so much fun!"

The podcaster was quick to give her a variety of items to keep her spirits high, including Scottish flags, a bottle of brandy, lavender, a stress ball, and a picture of Lorraine with her granddaughter, Billie.

It was later revealed that from Thursday, June 28, Josie Gibson would be replacing Lorraine while she begins her celebrations across the pond.

Kelly is not the only celebrity to have been getting involved in the World Cup fever, as actors Karen Gillan and Tony Curran have also been spotted taking part in the shenanigans.

The Inverness actress uploaded a video of herself, Tony and their pals proudly singing I'm Gonna Be (500 miles) by the Proclaimers while on their way to the Scotland vs Haiti match.

After securing the first Scottish win since 1990, the Doctor Who star later uploaded a video of herself dancing along to Yes Sir I Can Boogie in her hotel room as a form of celebration.

Meanwhile, Tony took to Instagram to admit that he may have taken his celebrations a bit too far as he shared a video of himself falling off a table in Boston. In the caption, he wrote: "I may have had an ale!"
