Lisa Snowdon Stuns Fans with New York Dinner Featuring Matt Damon
Lisa Snowdon's NYC dinner with Matt Damon shocks fans

Television presenter Lisa Snowdon left her social media followers utterly astonished this week after revealing she had enjoyed a dinner in New York with one of Hollywood's biggest stars.

A Star-Studded New York Getaway

The 53-year-old took to her Instagram on Tuesday to post a series of photographs from a trip to the Big Apple with her fiancé, George Smart. Among the shots of the couple enjoying the sights was a surprising image showing them at dinner with none other than Oscar-nominated actor Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso.

In one photo, the Hollywood star could be seen beaming beside George Smart as the group enjoyed drinks and a substantial seafood platter. Another picture captured Luciana jubilantly raising her hands in the air as the foursome celebrated a friend's birthday.

Fan Reaction to the Unexpected Cameo

The unexpected appearance of the Jason Bourne star in Lisa's personal feed sent her followers into a frenzy. Many rushed to the comments section to express their shock and delight at the high-profile connection.

Fans penned reactions such as: 'Matt Damon bloody hell Lisa, didn't know you moved in those circles!' and 'Wow, Matt Damon, what an amazing night.' Another admirer wrote, 'He will always be Jason Bourne! Please tell me you call him Bourne,' highlighting Damon's iconic role.

The History Behind the Friendship

This is not a new or fleeting acquaintance. Lisa is good friends with both Matt and his wife Luciana, whom she affectionately calls Lucy. The connection dates back over two decades, originating when Lisa dated fellow Hollywood A-lister and Damon's old pal, George Clooney.

Lisa first met Clooney, now 64, in 2000 when they starred in a Martini commercial together. Their on-and-off relationship lasted five years. Reflecting on their romance to The Sun, Lisa recalled George as 'charming, a really nice man, good fun,' but has always remained tight-lipped on more intimate details.

While she has lost touch with Clooney over the years, she has maintained a strong and lasting friendship with Matt Damon. This bond was evident when the Damons attended Lisa's 40th birthday party in London. The friendship was reciprocated in 2023 when Lisa and George were guests of Matt at the star-studded London premiere of Oppenheimer.

In fact, Lisa and George chose the premiere of Jason Bourne in July 2016 to make their red carpet debut as a couple. Lisa has openly discussed her friendship with Matt in the past, telling I'm A Celebrity campmates in 2016 that he is 'a good dude' and that she got close to his wife while dating 'somebody else.' She praised them again in 2022, saying, 'They're really close friends. Matt's wicked; he's brilliant.'
