Lisa Faulkner looked worlds away from her usual TV appearance as she wowed at the beach alongside her husband, TV star John Torode. The couple, who host ITV's cookery show Weekend Kitchen, snubbed the UK's drought summer for a sun-soaked trip abroad and shared a heartwarming glimpse of their holiday on social media.
Beach-ready style
The mum-of-one, who usually sports an array of colourful blouses and jumpers on screens, stripped down to a leopard-print swimsuit for the snap. Posed alongside the former MasterChef judge, the couple were all smiles against the stunning backdrop of the glistening sea, white sandy beach and tropical straw thatched umbrellas.
Lisa and John shared an embrace as they stopped for a photo on the wooden boardwalk. Posing with her hand behind her head, the TV cook looked sun-kissed as she styled her swimsuit with high-waisted denim shorts and Birkenstock sandals. In addition to her beach-ready outfit, Lisa accessorised with a pair of oversized sunglasses.
Holiday mode
John was also in holiday mode, as he went casual in a light blue short-sleeved shirt, blue and white patterned shorts, and flip-flops, with a stuffed crochet tote bag over his shoulder.
The couple's united front comes weeks after the 54-year-old shared an emotional admission about their marriage on social media to mark a special milestone. She reflected on their tumultuous year on-screen in a lengthy post celebrating the fired BBC star's 61st birthday, along with a happy selfie of them together.
Birthday tribute
At the time, Lisa penned: "Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband, John Torode. I hope you have the best day, my best friend. What a year it's been, but we held each other's hands, and I couldn't have got through these past few months without you by my side."
"You are the kindest man with the gentlest, biggest heart, and you make my heart thump [heart emoji]. I look forward to a birthday coffee in our spot in the garden. I love you, my Johno, and so does Rory." Alongside a plethora of their celebrity pals and fans in the comments, John sweetly responded: "And I love and adore you... [heart emoji]."
The couple met when Lisa took part in and won 2010's Celebrity MasterChef, began dating when their respective marriages ended and eventually tied the knot in 2019. While they didn't welcome any children together, they share a blended family with Lisa's daughter, Billie, 19, and John's four children from previous relationships.
