Lindsey Russell is pregnant with her first child. The broadcaster, 35, who currently hosts a slot on Heart Radio, tied the knot with partner Fred Haig a year ago in a ceremony in Las Vegas.
On Sunday, the TV star, who found fame co-hosting Blue Peter for almost a decade and has since appeared on This Morning and The One Show, took to social media to reveal that she and her husband are now expecting their first child together.
Photobooth announcement
In an Instagram Reel captured inside a photobooth, Lindsey sat with her husband and posed for photos as she held up the baby scans. She wrote over the video: "our first photo booth as a three..." and captioned the post: "Mum and Dad."
Lindsey was then inundated with messages of congratulations from fellow famous faces. Amanda Holden said: "It’s just incredible" whilst fellow Heart presenter and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ashley Roberts said: "Yessssss!!!!!"

Her Pussycat Dolls co-star Kimberly Wyatt also weighed in on the happy news as she said: "WHAAAAATTTT!!!!! Aaaahhhh!!! Congratulations!! What gorgeous news!!!!"
Blue Peter presenter Katy Hill said: "Stop that!! OMG - this is sooooooo exciting! Xxxxx" and Loose Women star Oti Mabuse, who is currently expecting her second child, said: "Congratulations angel."
Road to fame
Upon shooting to fame, Lindsey admitted that she landed "the best job in the world" after winning a BBC competition to join the long-running children's show Blue Peter. Lindsey came out on top after 20,000 people applied for the role as part of Blue Peter - You Decide.
The series gave the general public the chance to pick a presenter for the vacant role. When it came to the final 10, they were grilled by a panel of TV presenters including Eamonn Holmes and Myleene Klass. Lindsey secured her victory in front of a live audience in Leeds.
She said at the time: "I feel amazing. Thank you for voting for me so much. It’s the best job in the world – you get to do incredible things. Right now it feels a little strange. I’m quite shaky."
Career since Blue Peter
Since leaving Blue Peter, Lindsey has gone on to appear on The One Show as well as Heart Radio. She presents the early breakfast show from 4:30am to 6am before handing over to Amanda Holden. The presenter had previously held the overnight slot, working from 1am to 6am every Saturday and Sunday.
Lindsey has become a regular presenter on The One Show, where she creates reports and also works on segments for BBC One's Morning Live.
