Lily Allen made a striking appearance at the Silver Clef Awards on Thursday night (July 9), wearing a plunging black lace bralette that showcased her figure. The 41-year-old singer was honoured with the Icon Award at the annual music event, held at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Allen's recognition comes on the heels of her successful 2025 album West End Girl, which explores her explosive split from Stranger Things star David Harbour. The singer, known for hits like "Smile," exuded glamour and confidence as she posed for photographs on the red carpet, holding her award. She paired the bralette with black heels and diamond earrings.
Response to Criticism
Allen recently addressed criticism of her West End Girl theatre show. A fan who attended a performance at the O2 wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "No support act, arrived on stage at 9:10pm, all wrapped up by 10 p.m. Not one word to the audience, £86 to sit in the gods." Allen responded, explaining that she was late due to a wardrobe issue: "My tights were laddered and I had to change them." She added that the show runs just over an hour as it features the album in its entirety. "It's my artistic choice not to talk to the audience; the fourth wall helps with the storytelling. Most people find it to be effective," she said.
The fan later clarified that their comments were not meant to be harsh and that the performance was "brilliant," though they noted Allen not thanking the audience was "a bit weird." Allen conceded, "I'd happily concede that I'm a bit weird, though."
Charity Event Milestone
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Silver Clef Awards, the largest annual fundraising event for music therapy charity Nordoff and Robbins. Since 1976, the event has raised over £17 million for music therapy.
