Paul Gallagher, Brother of Oasis Stars, Charged with Rape on Private Jet

Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Oasis musicians Noel and Liam Gallagher, has been charged with rape and other serious offences, the Metropolitan Police said. The 59-year-old, of East Finchley, faces charges including sexual assault, intentional strangulation, and making a threat to kill.

The charges relate to alleged incidents between 2022 and 2024, following an investigation launched last year. Gallagher is also accused of coercive and controlling behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on 27 August.

Scotland Yard stated that a woman is being supported by specially trained officers. Gallagher's solicitors confirmed that their client has consistently engaged with the police and strongly denies all allegations, adding that he looks forward to clearing his name.

The charges come as Noel and Liam Gallagher continue their Oasis reunion tour, their first UK shows together since 2009. The tour began in Cardiff last month and includes dates in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin, with further international shows planned.

Paul Gallagher, who grew up with his siblings in Burnage, Manchester, has never been involved with the band. He authored a 1997 book titled 'Brothers: From Childhood to Oasis' and has worked as a DJ and photographer.
