Lewis Capaldi has angrily taken to social media this week to slam a stranger who has been using his name at his local gym to book racquet courts. The singer has received multiple messages for games he hasn't played and has now told the gym-goer to 'cut it out'.
Constant Emails From David Lloyd Club
Taking to Instagram, the 29-year-old showed his followers that he has received constant emails from the David Lloyd Club in Glasgow about badminton and pickleball game bookings and cancellations. The Scot has reportedly kept receiving these messages because the system was told he was playing the games.
However, Lewis has since bluntly stated that he doesn't play either game and that he has 'had enough'. In each of the emails, the name Edward Tsang appeared, who has been repeatedly claiming to be playing against the star in the gym courts to secure the bookings.
Lewis on Tour While Messages Continue
Lewis is currently on tour while receiving the messages from the exclusive club, which is said to have membership fees of up to £159 a month. With the Someone You Loved singer currently performing in Milan, Italy, he is miles away from these pickleball matches that are supposedly taking place.
With the constant messages taking the star to the end of his tether, he issued a warning on his Instagram story. While telling Edward Tsang to stop, Lewis showed his 7.8 million followers a screenshot of the emails showing six court bookings using his name in the last week.
Lewis Doesn't Hold Back
In the clip, Lewis didn't hold back as he said: 'I'm jumping on here to give a warning to whoever Edward Tsang is. At the David Lloyd gym I go to in Glasgow, this guy keeps f*****g booking badminton and pickleball courts saying that he is going to play with me.'
'I don't know who Edward Tsang is, I have never met an Edward Tsang in my life, but it's f*****g constant. It happened once and I was like, 'I'm going to let it slide' but in the last week alone look how many times this guy is booking badminton courts with me.'
He added: 'I don't want to be a grass here if you're trying to get on the court. I don't even f*****g play badminton or pickleball. Cut it out whoever you are, wherever you are. I've had enough.'
Not the First Time Lewis Has Called Someone Out
This isn't the first time that Lewis has used social media to air his problems or call people out. He recently took to X to reply to troll comments about his music. The star, who is from Whitburn, West Lothian, is not afraid to use a swear word or two to get his point across.
An example of this can be seen back in May, when a radio listener wrote on X: 'When ur enjoying the summer vibes on @CapitalOfficial and then @LewisCapaldi comes on and makes u feel depressed. Must he keep making the same generic ballad constantly? Can we have something with a personality?'
In a direct reply to the user, Lewis wrote: 'Craig with all the love in the world shut ur c**t.' While some fans will have found the response shocking, many others were amused by the mischievous reply from the Survive singer.
One person wrote: 'You can take the boy out of Glasgow, but you can't take Glasgow out of the boy!' While another jested: 'That's a decent name for your next ballad.' A third person also commented: 'I'd say your post is filled with personality!! Brilliant response!'
