Leigh-Anne Pinnock, member of the girl group Little Mix, has announced she is pregnant with her third child. The 34-year-old singer shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, July 8, posting a video that shows her in a recording studio with one hand resting on her baby bump.
Announcement and Social Media Reaction
In the video, Pinnock is seen wearing a shirt tied above her tummy while checking her phone. The clip then cuts to a close-up of her holding her bump. The caption read: 'As one chapter ends, another begins,' accompanied by a heart and pregnant woman emoji. The post, which has already received over 20,000 likes, features her new song 'Heaven' with the lyrics: 'All I need's right here.'
Fellow Little Mix member Perrie Edwards reacted with four love-heart eyes emojis, while singer and DJ Fleur East commented: 'Ahhhhh! Amazing! Congratulations.'
Family Life and Privacy
Pinnock and her husband, footballer Andre Gray, already have four-year-old twin daughters, born in August 2021. The couple have chosen to keep their children's names and faces private to protect their privacy. Earlier this year, Pinnock explained: 'I remember when they were born, I was going through this online hate thing and really seeing the toxicity of social media. I want them to be able to make that decision [about fame].'
The couple got engaged during lockdown and welcomed their twins in 2021. They married on a beach in Jamaica in 2023. In 2024, Gray returned to English football, playing first for Plymouth and then Port Vale, ending what Pinnock described as the 'hell' of him playing in Saudi Arabia. She said: 'We have a long distance relationship. He lives in Saudi, he plays football there. So for the last two years we've been apart, basically, seeing each other for maybe two days a month. It's been hell to be honest.'
Career and Little Mix Hiatus
Pinnock released her debut solo album, 'My Ego Told Me To', in February 2024. The announcement of her pregnancy comes as she continues her solo career. Little Mix, which includes Pinnock, Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, and formerly Jesy Nelson (who left in 2020), went on hiatus in 2022 so members could pursue solo projects.
