Laura Anderson, the 37-year-old former Love Island star, has confessed to an embarrassing roadside toilet emergency on the motorway. In a series of Instagram Stories, she revealed she was forced to use her two-year-old daughter Bonnie's potty after being stuck in heavy traffic for over two hours.
The Traffic Nightmare
Anderson, who is currently covering the Heart Breakfast Radio Show alongside David Farrell, was driving from her home to her mother's house in Glasgow. She told her followers: "This is one of those videos where I'm like might delete this later but do you know what I'm just gonna be honest so we're in traffic and I'm like oh my god I'm dying for a wee and it's a good over two hours from where I live to my mum's house."
With still half an hour to go and traffic ahead, she remembered Bonnie's potty was in the car. She decided to pull over onto the hard shoulder, put up Bonnie's sunlight visor, lower her seat, and use the potty.
The Embarrassing Solution
Anderson said: "I just used Bonnie's potty in my car on the motorway. Look I'm not proud of myself but when you gotta go you gotta go and I feel so much better." She worried about overflow, adding: "I thought this is gonna overflow. I'm going to overflow this tiny little potty that is clearly for a two year old's a**e onto my bloody car seat and then I'm going to have to sit on it for the rest of the drive to my mum's."
Fortunately, there was no overflow. She disposed of the evidence by opening the door and tipping it out, joking: "Unless someone on the motorway was passing and thought is that Laura Anderson p*ssing in her daughter's potty on the motorway? Yes, it was me."
Return to Radio
In a follow-up Instagram Story on July 6, Anderson revealed she is staying at her mum's house as she returns to her former radio roots. She is hosting Heart Breakfast Radio for the next fortnight with David Farrell, from 6:30am to 10am Monday to Friday.
