Kylie Minogue Rocks Retro Looks for Perfect Magazine Cover

Kylie Minogue has beamed with smiles as she rocked a series of retro looks for the cover of Perfect magazine. The singer had her hair styled into tight blonde curls for the photoshoot, channelling her style from her rise to fame in the 1980s.

The Aussie songstress, 58, could be seen sprawling across the floor as she graced the cover of the magazine, with her legs up in the air. Taking her high heels off, she placed them right next to her face, adding yet another splash of colour to the bright shoot.

Vintage Looks and Fever Anniversary

The snaps, taken by photographer Willy Vanderperre, saw the All the Lovers star bring back some vintage looks throughout the years, as she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her hit album Fever. She also looked back at her career, including what her favourite song off the album really is.

Kylie took to the front cover of the magazine in a cosy red cardigan dress. She slipped into a series of various retro-style looks for the lavish photoshoot, designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the magazine. To compliment the theme, Kylie rocked a cosy look as she slipped into a knitted red cardigan that barely covered her torso, pairing the look with some fishnet tights and rhinestoned red heels.

Hairstyles and Outfits

Her hair was frizzed up and tightened into thick curls that really showed off the 80s-style fantasy. The hairstyle also became a central part of another look, with the Padam Padam singer rocking a stringed dress with various button attachments.

In one snap, she was seen taking the strap off as she lamented to the side, wearing a wavy necklace that just about cupped her neckline. But in another snap, Kylie's curls were on full show as she rocked a 2000s-style black stringtop and a black plastic sheen skirt with chunky platform shoes.

While in another pic, Kylie ditched the curls to channel her inner 90s chic with her short hair being straightened. She finished off her fashion shoot looks in a flawless denim top with an oversized collar, which she wore together with a matching maxi skirt and a pair of silver sandals.

Musical Inspirations and Favourite Song

Speaking to the magazine, Kylie gushed over her favourite musical inspirations, including Daft Punk and Grace Jones. The singer admitted the eighties legend was "all over her mood board" when she was creating Fever, adding: "She will be forever."

She was also asked what song on the album, other than the smash hit 'Can't Get You Out of My Head', was her favourite. She revealed after much deliberation that it was the third single from the release, Love at First Sight.

"The ad libs at the end are inspired by Donna Summer and that inspiration started from when I was nine years old," she said. "I would listen to her all the time. I love 'Love at First Sight'. I love hearing other people's versions. It's done a lot of weddings, that song."

She also admitted how floored she is when she thinks of the legacy of the album, joking: "It makes me feel like I'm not even living on this planet. That is just extraordinary to me. I'm in midlife, everything's happening, it's all great."
