Anastasia 'Stassie' Karanikolaou, the 28-year-old media personality and close friend of Kylie Jenner, has revealed she underwent butt reduction surgery months after admitting she regretted getting a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). In a TikTok video posted on Tuesday, Stassie filmed herself recovering at a surgery centre, explaining she was 'recovering from this a** reduction'.
Stassie, who has 4.3 million TikTok followers, shared that she had just received pain medication and felt 'comfortable'. She expressed excitement about the results, saying, 'From what I've seen, this a** looks nice, lifted, smaller. I'm so excited to be healed and to feel more comfortable in my skin.' She ended the clip by asking for kindness in the comments, adding, 'because I'm in pain. I'm just a girl.'
In a follow-up video on Wednesday, Stassie addressed claims that she had the procedure to follow trends. She stated, 'I would just like to state that the reason why I'm sharing my experience currently is because I wish I had someone that showed me the not glamorised side of plastic surgery when I was younger and I was 18 and I made this decision.' She added that she had been 'trying for years' to reverse the BBL, which had made her 'more insecure'.
Stassie emphasised that she hopes to help others avoid similar mistakes. 'I just feel like this was a mistake I made super young and I shared my experience now because I'm hoping that I can help anyone at the end of the day,' she said. She advised her followers to 'do what makes you comfortable, not what you think you should do'.
In May, Stassie appeared on a podcast and admitted to getting a BBL at a young age, calling it 'something that I regret'. She also mentioned at the time that she had another surgery scheduled to reduce its size. In her latest video, she showed her backside briefly, noting, 'It's still there. I can't get it gone fully. I just want it to be more proportioned to this body.'
