Kerry Katona Fires Back at Trolls Over Daughter's Make-Up Photos

Kerry Katona has hit back at online trolls who criticised her for sharing photos of her five-year-old daughter wearing a full face of make-up. The former Atomic Kitten singer, 38, labelled the critics the 'bore brigade' and told them to 'do one' after they took offence at the images posted on Instagram.

The photos showed Dylan-Jorge, affectionately known as DJ, wearing foundation, lipstick, eye-shadow, mascara, and eyebrow pomade. The makeover was done by her 17-year-old half-sister Molly McFadden in an attempt to lift DJ's spirits following the death of her father, George Kay.

In her column for New! magazine, Katona wrote: 'The bore brigade were out in force last week, having a go at me for posting pics of my DJ wearing makeup. I'm not apologising for anything. DJ's a little girl and she loves putting on makeup like Mummy and her big sisters.' She added that it was a one-off and that Molly is 'super talented with makeup'.

Katona anticipated a negative response, captioning the post: 'Before anyone starts to kick off about dj wearing makeup it was just a little bit of fun and great makeup practice for molly!' Despite this, trolls criticised the post, with one saying it 'sends out wrong signals' and another claiming 'natural beauty is the best'. However, many fans defended Katona, noting the context of the makeover.
