Kendall Jenner has finally addressed long-standing rumours about her sexuality, confirming she is heterosexual during an appearance on Owen Thiele's podcast 'In Your Dreams'. The 30-year-old model and reality TV star explained that her desire for privacy in her love life had fuelled speculation that she might be a lesbian.
During the podcast, Jenner said: 'I understand that coming out is not an easy thing for anybody, if not most people. And I’m not saying that’s an easy thing, but knowing, and I can speak for myself here, and knowing myself, I think at this point in my life I’d be out if I was.' She added: 'All’s to say, as of today, I am not [gay]. I don’t think I will be, but I’m not closing doors to experiences in life.'
Jenner also expressed surprise at the 'mean' comments she has received from online trolls over the speculation. She remarked: 'It’s not with, like, a welcoming arm of like, “Hey, if you were, yes, come join.” It’s not kind. It’s very mean.'
In a 2018 interview with Vogue, Jenner had previously addressed the rumours, attributing them to her more private approach to relationships compared to her famous sisters. She said at the time: 'I think it’s because I’m not like all my other sisters, who are like, “Here’s me and my boyfriend!” I don’t think I have a bisexual or gay bone in my body, but I don’t know! Who knows?!'
Jenner has been romantically linked to several high-profile men, including Harry Styles, Nick Jonas, Blake Griffin, Ben Simmons, and Bad Bunny. The podcast appearance comes amid speculation about her sister Kylie Jenner's relationship with Timothée Chalamet, with fans noticing a large diamond ring on Kylie's finger in a recent social media video, sparking engagement rumours.
