Kelsey Parker has shared a deeply emotional post on Instagram as she approaches the first anniversary of her stillborn son Phoenix, while also expecting a new baby with partner Will Lindsay. The TV personality, who previously lost her husband Tom Parker to a brain tumour in 2022, described the upcoming Sunday as a 'big day' because it marks both Phoenix’s anniversary and Father’s Day.
Kelsey's Heartfelt Instagram Post
In a candid selfie posted to her followers, Kelsey wrote: 'I’ve been really quiet on here the last couple of days. Truthfully, I’ve been working a lot, trying to keep busy and just processing the fact that Sunday is a big day. It’s Phoenix’s first anniversary, and it’s Father’s Day too.'
She continued: 'Grief is a strange thing. Some days you can keep going and stay busy, and other days it all catches up with you. I’m learning that both things can exist at once. I can feel excited about this next chapter of life, be grateful for everything I have, and still deeply miss my little boy and wish things had been different.'
Kelsey ended her message with a note of solidarity for others: 'If you’re navigating grief, anniversaries or simply carrying something heavy right now, please know you’re not alone. As always… stop waiting, start living. But also, give yourself permission to feel it all.'
Rainbow Baby Announcement
Just weeks earlier, Kelsey and Will announced they are expecting a 'rainbow baby'—a term for a child born after a miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. In an Instagram video, Kelsey shared an ultrasound image and placed a white feather next to it, symbolising Tom and Phoenix. She said at the time: 'A year ago next month, we lost our beautiful baby boy, Phoenix. And somehow, through all the heartbreak, it feels like Tom and Phoenix have sent us another little gift from heaven, our little rainbow baby.'
Public Appearance and Family
Kelsey made her first public appearance since the pregnancy announcement at the Toy Story 5 UK screening, accompanied by her two eldest children, Aurelia and Bodhi. She wore a white vest, cream trousers, and an open cream leather jacket, cradling her bump with a beaming smile for the cameras.
Following Phoenix’s death in 2025, Kelsey had shared a heartbreaking poem on Instagram, captioned 'Phoenix Parker-Lindsay, you will forever be loved.' The poem read: 'The room grew quiet as you arrived, So loved, so longed for, yet not alive. Our precious boy, our angel light, Born with wings, took silent flight. We named you Phoenix, brave and bright. A soul of love, of warmth and light. Though we never heard you cry, You'll live in hearts that won't ask why. No breath you drew, no eyes to see, Still, you mean everything to me. You'll journey with us, softly near, In every sigh, in every tear.'
