Kelly Clarkson has postponed the August dates of her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, citing health issues faced by her ex-husband.
The Grammy-winning singer announced the decision on social media, writing: "While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them." The shows affected were scheduled for August 8-9 and 15-16.
The residency, Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions, is expected to resume in November, with performances set for 7, 8, 14 and 15 November. Caesars Palace has said ticket holders for the postponed dates can either retain their tickets for newly announced 2026 performances or request a refund within 30 days.
This is not the first disruption to her schedule this year. In early 2025, Clarkson missed ten episodes of her talk show without explanation, and at the beginning of July she cancelled a show just 90 minutes before she was due on stage, citing vocal strain from preparations.
Clarkson shares two children with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, from whom she separated in 2020. Their divorce was finalised in 2022 after a protracted legal battle, which included a dispute over commissions. She has previously spoken about the emotional toll of the split and co-parenting, including on a podcast in March 2025.
