Kelly Brook has insisted she is more of a “geeky, goofy clown” than the sex symbol she is often portrayed as. The 41-year-old former glamour model told Closer magazine that she has never felt sexy and feels “embarrassed” by the label.
“I've never felt sexy in my life,” she said. “I'm the happiest I've ever felt in my own skin, but I don't wake up every day feeling sexy. I feel that is something that is projected on to me rather than how I actually feel about myself.”
Brook, who is in a relationship with Jeremy Parisi, also reflected on her weight fluctuations over the years. She noted that when she looks back at her younger, slimmer self, she associates those times with unhappiness, such as break-ups or the death of her father.
“Weirdly, when I've been at my curviest at a size 16, I've been at my happiest,” she said. “I was living in Kent with Jeremy, having gin and tonics and roast dinners and playing with my little ducks in the country.”
