Katie Price's husband Lee Andrews has admitted "OK, I lied" in an emotional statement directed at his wife. The star declared his love for the former glamour model following weeks of controversy surrounding their relationship during his Dubai imprisonment.
Lee's Heartfelt Instagram Post
Lee, who was recently reunited with Katie in Dubai after his release from jail, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message dedicated to his wife. He posted a romantic reel on his story featuring a couple holding hands and walking into the sunset along what appeared to be a mountain path, adding his own personal touch to the caption to express his feelings for Katie.
The original post read: "OK I lied. my first real love is happening right now. and yes, it feels strange that I once called anything else love." Lee added his own message to the clip, writing: "It's always been you @katieprice."
Turbulent Fortnight for the Couple
His touching tribute to his wife follows a turbulent fortnight for the pair, whose relationship was thrust into the spotlight after Lee vanished and was subsequently confirmed to have been imprisoned in Dubai. Katie openly voiced her concern for her husband after losing all contact with him, initially fearing he may have been kidnapped. It subsequently emerged that Lee had been held at Al Awir Central Prison in the Middle East on fraud allegations, though he maintains he was detained over espionage concerns.
Lee Praises Katie's Support
Following his release earlier this week, Lee praised Katie for her unwavering support throughout the ordeal, suggesting he might not have secured his freedom without her involvement. Upon his release from custody, he addressed supporters via social media, stating: "I am sending these messages out to my loved ones and my beautiful wife who without her help involving all the UK authorities, I don't think I would have got out of that situation. So thank you to Katie for making such a noise that the UAE actually listened and let me go."
Katie's Concerns and Support
Katie travelled to Dubai to be with her husband following his release. While they have shared loving posts about one another on social media since Lee's freedom, their marriage has faced strain from the entire experience. She told The Sun: "I need answers, and if I don't like the answers, I'll be gone." Despite facing considerable criticism, the former glamour model has repeatedly stood firm in her support for Lee. On Monday she proudly showcased a piece of jewellery that Lee had purchased for her, posting: "Mr and Mrs. Love my new ring."
