Katie Price's Family Fear She Could Be Trapped in Dubai Amid War Concerns

The family of former glamour model Katie Price are said to be "sick with worry" after the star ignored official government travel warnings to jet back to Dubai last week. Price, 47, was spotted at Gatwick Airport looking excited ahead of her flight to reunite with new husband Lee Andrews, despite advice against all but essential travel to the troubled region.

Ignoring Official Warnings

Price's determination to be at her husband's side following a brief return to the UK has left her loved ones deeply concerned. Their greatest fear is that she might end up trapped in Dubai if the war in Iran escalates, potentially leaving the mother-of-five stranded thousands of miles away from her children.

"Katie has been warned about going to Dubai because of what is happening out there," a source revealed. "She was boasting about her plane being empty, but that was because most people won't take the risk right now."

Posting a photo of herself in the deserted cabin, Price wrote on social media: "How unreal is this! This whole cabin to myself. Crazy! Dubai here we come! #KatiePrice #comingformyhubby #excited."

Concerns About Husband's Identity

For Price's loved ones, there is also significant worry that she remains in deep denial about 42-year-old Lee Andrews' true identity. Despite numerous warnings that the self-proclaimed millionaire may not be who he claims to be, Price appears to be refusing to acknowledge the red flags raised since they married in January, just two weeks after meeting.

"Her family fear she isn't thinking straight as she is obsessed with Lee and is putting herself in danger," the source explained. "They are worried she may get stuck out in Dubai and not be able to get back for her children. It is causing a lot of stress and anxiety and everyone is just absolutely worried sick about her."

According to reports, Price's family tried their best to get her to see sense while she was back in the UK, but she remains adamant that Andrews' intentions are honourable.

Defending Her Marriage

Last week, Price hit back at claims she rushed into her fourth marriage during an appearance on Good Morning Britain. When asked why she hadn't waited longer to get to know Andrews, she responded: "Do you ever really know anyone? If you look at my past marriages, did I ever know they would be what they would be? Sometimes I don't think you can ever know who anyone is."

Asked to verify Andrews' claim that he has a PhD from Cambridge - despite the university stating they have no record of him - Price defended her husband, saying: "He doesn't have a PhD from Cambridge, it's one in Spain. I've seen everything I need to see. On his diplomatic passport, it's Dr Lee Andrews. On his normal passport, it's Wesley Lee Andrews."

The star also claimed that Andrews living in Dubai is convenient for her, as it gives her some much-needed "time for me." Regarding whether Andrews has met her five children, she clarified: "They've all met him on FaceTime. But it's never enough. I won't be introducing him to the kids yet because I want to get to know him myself."

Previous Warnings About Andrews

Concerns about Andrews' background have been mounting. Two of his exes previously warned Price about him, with one telling her to "run for the hills." His former fiancée, Alana Percival, accused him of being a "liar" and a "narcissist," adding: "I think he's a manipulator."

There have also been reports that Andrews spent three weeks in a Dubai jail after allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend's signature in a bid to take out a £200,000 loan.

Despite these warnings, Price returned to Andrews' arms last Wednesday, with the couple heading straight to a cosmetics clinic where they both had his 'n' hers tweakments. In an Instagram Story, Andrews - who could be seen with numbing cream smeared on his face - revealed they were at the clinic to "fix a few things," adding: "When I say fix, I mean enhance!"

Escalating Regional Tensions

Price's insistence that all is well in her new marriage has done little to quash her family's concerns. While they might have hoped the situation in Iran - which has seen key buildings in Dubai struck by missiles - would keep Price away, the opposite appears to be true.

"Her family were hoping that the trouble out there would keep them apart, but now she's gone and flown out to where everyone is trying to get away from," the source said. "So it's very tough for them. They're very concerned."

In addition to fears for Price's safety, her family's other key concern is that she could end up separated from her children for longer than anticipated if conflict escalates.

"The worry is, if the war continues and she gets caught in the country, she could get stuck there," the source explained. "She won't see her kids, she won't see Harvey, and the family will be left to pick up the pieces once again. But she just wants to be with Lee - and nothing else."
