A source close to the couple has disclosed that the breakdown had been brewing for some time. "This has been on the cards for a long time," the insider stated. "Katie was pushing for marriage and security but JJ had checked out."
The source explained that while their age gap—Slater is in his 30s—was not an initial issue, pressure mounted from Price's desire for another child and a wedding. "Her urgency for another baby and for a wedding put a lot of pressure on him," the source added.
