Katie Price has reunited with her daughter Princess Andre for the first time since a video emerged of her counting a wad of cash while bankrupt. The footage, believed to have been filmed in 2020, was released by her ex-husband Alex Reid.
In the clip, Price is seen lounging on a sofa with a pile of banknotes, saying she is “enjoying counting” the money. When Princess asked if she would help with school fees, Price responded by telling her daughter that “your dad can sit on that” while lifting a middle finger. She also described Peter Andre’s younger children with wife Emily as “irrelevant”.
The video reportedly provoked a strong reaction from Peter Andre, with a source telling the Mirror he was “so shocked that she would do this in front of their young child and saying his young children are irrelevant. It’s not about the money. How could a mother do that about young children?”
Price appeared to brush aside the controversy by sharing an Instagram picture of herself at the stables, writing: “Horse riding with Princess. Can’t believe what she said about my legs.” She also shared footage on Snapchat of Princess riding a horse, and at a playground Princess joked: “Your legs might snap, mum.”
A representative for Price issued a statement saying the cash featured in the video did not belong to her and that the property was dealt with in financial settlement proceedings from her divorce from Peter Andre. The statement added that her trustee in bankruptcy was aware and had investigated the matter.
