Katie Price has announced that a documentary about her husband Lee Andrews is in development, even as her family remains adamant about not meeting him. The 48-year-old former glamour model married the businessman in January, just days after their first in-person meeting, and the couple has faced a turbulent six months.
Documentary Plans Revealed
Speaking on the Reign podcast, Price stated: "There will be a documentary coming out about Lee, and he knows about it. He'll be appearing in it." She added: "Yes, there is scandal around me — there always is. Not only now, there's years of it." Price defended her husband, saying: "With Lee, it's not fair to talk about him without him being here to have his right of reply." The documentary's broadcaster and release date have not been confirmed.
Turbulent Marriage and Family Opposition
Price and Andrews married in Dubai in a whirlwind romance that shocked her inner circle. Shortly after, Andrews went missing and was later found to be in prison in Dubai. Price initially claimed he had been kidnapped. Despite the challenges, Price remains committed, writing on social media: "Forever @wesleeandrews best husband in the world, completes me in every f***ed up away."
However, her family has refused to meet Andrews. Appearing on This Morning on July 8, Price said: "My family don't want nothing to do with him. And you can't blame them because of what's out there." She explained: "They're like: 'Why? Why has she gone off and married him? What an idiot she is.'" Price acknowledged the situation's difficulty: "I know a lot that other people don't [but I know] it [the marriage] looks so messy out there."
Protective Family and Price's Defense
Price expressed understanding of her family's stance, stating: "They are protecting me... Men have been the downfall of my life." She added: "Yes, I married him quickly, but I am so protective that I won't let a man hurt me, break me, destroy me again." Price urged Andrews to stay off social media after his release, saying: "Don't go on socials! Just leave it, give yourself a break, but he don't listen."
