Katie Price has ignited fresh rumours about her contentious marriage to Lee Andrews after she was spotted without her wedding ring just a day following the airing of scenes from her new documentary where she disclosed that her family refuses to meet her fourth husband.
Katie Posts Mirror Selfie Without Ring
The ex-glamour model, 48, took to social media on Friday to post a mirror selfie before going for a swim, striking a pose in a vibrant pink bikini as she told followers: "Good morning! Time for a dip in the pool!" However, Katie was noticeably not wearing the large wedding ring she has frequently been seen with since tying the knot with Lee in Dubai at the beginning of the year.
On Wednesday, the star was sporting the enormous sparkler during an appearance on This Morning where she confessed that her family did not wish to meet her spouse.
Family Concerns Documented in New Sky Show
The post arrived two days after the launch of her Sky documentary, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, in which the mother-of-five divulged how worried her loved ones continue to be about her whirlwind nuptials. Speaking on This Morning to promote the series, Katie conceded her family still doesn't want to meet Lee, whom she wed in January mere days after the couple met face-to-face, reports the Mirror.
She said: "My family don't want nothing to do with him. And you can't blame them because of what's out there." Katie clarified that while she wishes her relatives to give Lee a chance, they are declining because they are trying to safeguard her. "I want them to, but at the moment they're like, 'No', because they're protecting me," she said.
Whirlwind Wedding and Controversial Claims
The documentary exposes these worries, with Katie's family openly challenging her choice to wed Lee with such haste. Since exploding onto Katie's scene, Lee has dominated newspaper coverage with a string of outlandish assertions including styling himself as a self-made millionaire, alleging he was abducted and imprisoned for espionage, claiming he holds a Cambridge degree, and facing accusations from multiple former partners of being a habitual fraudster - allegations he refutes.
Her son Junior Andre condemned the wedding as "the most silliest, stupidest thing", while her stepfather Paul Price confessed he was "100 percent" furious upon discovering she had jetted off to Dubai to wed the businessman. Katie's sister Sophie has similarly expressed her reservations in recent months, telling the celebrity on their podcast that she believed Lee had been "massively mugging you off" after he failed to arrive in the UK for a scheduled television slot.
Public Support Despite Drama
The pair have remained in the public spotlight since exchanging vows, with Lee's extended absence in Dubai sparking rumours before it transpired he had been held there over a civil matter. Despite the continuing drama, Katie has persisted in publicly supporting her husband, recently calling him her "perfect match" on social media following a visit to Dubai to see him.
