Katie Price has revealed she wants to help her eldest son Harvey turn his iPad creations into a new career, while opening up about the challenge of keeping his devices intact due to his remarkable strength.
Speaking on the Katie Price Show podcast with her sister Sophie Price, the former glamour model said Harvey, 24, uses multiple iPads for drawing, writing, photography and music, combining the outputs into finished works. He has become fixated on an old device and insists on getting it repaired despite already using two tablets daily.
"So I’m having to go and get him another iPad today because he’s driving me mad," Katie said. "And it’s like, you do realise, people only have one iPad, and it lasts. No, Mum, no, ugh."
Why protective cases don't work
Katie explained that Harvey uses each tablet for a different purpose before merging everything together. While the collection represents thousands of pounds, protective cases are not an option. "And everyone’s always like, you should put cases on. No, Harvey’s strength. If he can break a window screen by punching it, he can break an iPad," she said.
Plans for children's books
Despite the ongoing battle to keep devices working, Katie believes Harvey's creativity could lead to a publishing deal. "But I want to go to a publisher, because I think Harvey would be amazing at bringing out his own children’s books," she said, adding that he already creates illustrated stories on his iPads. "This is what he does on his iPads. He draws pictures and then he makes a story up next to them. That’s what I’m going to try and do for Harv."
Family struggles in the spotlight
The revelation comes as Katie, 48, reflects on her public struggles, including severe depression in 2018 and 2021. Her children Junior and Princess Andre described that period as "the most difficult time in our lives" in her documentary Katie Price: Nothing To Hide. Junior said of Katie's split from third husband Kieran Hayler: "When Kieran Hayler cheated on her the first time, that literally broke her. That was probably the most difficult time of my life – of our lives – probably."
