Katie Price has revealed that her divorce from Peter Andre still 'eats her up' nearly 20 years after their split. The 48-year-old former glamour model opened up in her new documentary, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, saying her soul has 'not been right' since they separated in 2009.
A fairytale romance turned sour
The couple first met while participating in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2004 and married the following year. They have two children together, Junior and Princess Andre. Price described their time together as 'the best times of my life without a doubt'.
'Me and Pete, we had such amazing times, it really was a fairytale love story,' she said in the documentary. 'They were the best times of my life without a doubt, until things went sour. I'd love to sit next to him and reminisce about all of it.'
The dagger of divorce
Price described the decision to divorce as a 'dagger in my heart' and admitted they never sat down to discuss what led to their split. She said the lack of closure has had a lasting impact on her mental health.
'It's weird 22 years on to reflect back on it, from then, my head, soul, heart, body has been shaken, not right since,' she continued. 'I've never sat down with Pete from the moment we split up and spoke about that day, ever, never.'
'I think that's what's been eating me up the most because I haven't been able to sit down and talk to him. That had an impact on me for the rest of what 20 years on my mental health, everything, that was like wow, big impact. So ever since then I've been trying to find the same thing, what I had with Pete.'
Peter's silence out of respect for children
Peter Andre, now 53, declined to participate in Price's documentary, which is released on July 8. He released a statement explaining his decision: 'I have chosen not to speak publicly about these matters out of love and respect for Junior and Princess. Today Katie and I maintain an amicable relationship in the interests of our children. I sincerely wish her happiness and peace for the future.'
Andre later married doctor Emily MacDonagh in 2015; the couple share three children: Millie, Theo, and Belle. Price has been married three times since her divorce from Andre, most recently to Lee Andrews in early 2025.
From jungle romance to TV fame
Katie and Peter captivated fans in the early 2000s after falling in love in the Australian jungle on I'm A Celebrity. They went on to star in several ITV reality shows, including Katie & Peter: The Next Chapter and Katie & Peter: The Baby Diaries, which ended after their divorce.
Price's documentary also features other exes, including Dane Bowers and Gareth Gates, but Peter is notably absent. She reflected on their whirlwind romance: 'They were the best times of my life without a doubt, until things went sour.'
