Katie Price has confirmed she is still wearing the engagement ring Lee Andrews gave her, despite the couple's split. Speaking on her podcast The Katie Price Show, which she co-hosts with sister Sophie, 36, the former glamour model, 48, explained why she has kept it on.
"I'm still wearing my ring, but on the other hand because I love the ring," she said.
Relationship over
Katie has been clear that her relationship with Lee is over, adding that she had removed herself from him on social media platforms. "I've taken Lee out of my [Instagram] bio now. Enough is enough now, it gets to a point where you can tolerate so much. I did what I had to do. It doesn't matter what people say about whoever I'm with. I have to do what I need to do."
She then revealed that she has not had contact with Lee since he went back to prison a few months ago. "Things haven't added up and I'm not happy about them. He is still in prison and I haven't spoken to him."
Still in love
Katie didn't confirm she and Lee had split until earlier this week, when she appeared on Good Morning Britain. She told Susanna Reid and Ed Balls that, even though she was no longer with Lee, she still loved him.
"I love him," she said. "But who is he? I love the man I met. I can't take it. I was stupid to fall for him. It's really sad." Katie added that she thought Lee loved her but "got himself in such a situation where he copy and pastes what he says to women".
Ring valuation
Katie told Susanna and Ed about a ring Lee bought her that he claimed was worth £72,000. "So I thought I'd better get it insured. So I took it into a shop and got it cleaned to get it insured. When they gave it back to me I said, 'How nice are the diamonds?'"
"They said, 'They're really good lab diamonds. They were grown in a lab. The ring is probably only worth about five grand'. Do you know how embarrassed I was?"
Lee's ex Alana Percival had been vocal on Instagram about how Lee's proposal and excuses for why he couldn't leave the country during their relationship were exactly the same as what he did and said while he was with Katie. At the time, Katie dismissed Alana's claims, implying she was jealous of their relationship. Lee and Katie married just days into knowing each other, and Lee has denied being a conman.
