Katie Price has never been shy about promoting her latest project. Her friends, however? That’s apparently another story. The former glamour model’s deeply personal new Sky documentary, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, has finally landed, offering an unfiltered look at one of Britain’s most chaotic celebrity lives. But according to reports, one person Katie expected to be shouting about it from the rooftops has been noticeably quiet: her longtime friend Kerry Katona.
Longtime Friendship Under Scrutiny
The pair have spent years publicly championing one another, bonding over the unique experience of surviving tabloid scrutiny, financial troubles, public reinventions, and enough headlines to fill several libraries. Which is why, according to The Sun, Katie has been left puzzled that Kerry has yet to publicly promote the series – despite appearing in it herself. The documentary features interviews with several of Katie’s closest friends, including former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton, who has enthusiastically backed the project since its release.
Insider Reveals Disappointment
An insider claimed: ‘Katie is really disappointed that Kerry hasn’t posted anything on social media to support her new Sky documentary series. It’s the biggest thing to happen to her career for a long time, but there has been radio silence from Kerry’s side about it.’ Making matters more confusing, the source added, is the fact Kerry actually filmed scenes for the documentary. ‘What is even more of a mystery to Katie is that Kerry even filmed for the documentary and is in a couple of the episodes. To say Katie is miffed is an understatement as she believed Kerry would be championing the project all over her socials. In the past, Kerry has been one of her biggest cheerleaders, so she doesn’t know what’s going on.’
Another Source Downplays Drama
Before anyone starts preparing for the next celebrity fallout, though, another source insists there’s far less drama than first suggested. According to a friend of Katie’s, the former glamour model has been so busy promoting the documentary herself that she hasn’t had time to keep tabs on who has – or hasn’t – posted about it. ‘Katie is too busy to notice whether her mates have been promoting her documentary,’ they said. ‘She’s been here, there and everywhere doing interviews and TV appearances. She barely has time to even look at socials and track what people are posting, and she was grateful to Kerry for taking the time to film for it.’
Documentary Already Making Headlines
If there’s one thing Katie has been doing, it’s talking about Nothing To Hide. The documentary has already generated headlines thanks to her candid comments about everything from cosmetic surgery and motherhood to her marriage to Lee Andrews and her long-running feud with Victoria Beckham. Katie even reignited memories of her relationship with Peter Andre, claiming things changed after he began working with Victoria, while admitting she still refuses to watch the Beckhams’ hit Netflix series because she finds it ‘manufactured’ and ‘boring’.
Whether Kerry’s social media silence is an oversight or something more remains to be seen. For two women who have spent decades living much of their friendship in public, though, fans will no doubt be keeping a close eye on whether a supportive Instagram post eventually appears. Metro has contacted representatives for Katie Price and Kerry Katona for comment.
