Katie Price Explains Break from Dubai, Says 'I've Done My Bit' Visiting Husband Lee Andrews

Reality television star Katie Price has publicly clarified her reasons for taking a break from visiting Dubai, where her husband Lee Andrews resides, bluntly stating, "I've done my bit in Dubai." The 46-year-old celebrity, who had previously been linked to a potential relocation to the United Arab Emirates, has now firmly dismissed those plans, describing the speculation as "a lot of hoo-ha."

Price Emphasises Commitment to UK Life in West Sussex

In a new YouTube video, Katie Price elaborated on her decision to remain based in the United Kingdom, telling her fans unequivocally, "I live in West Sussex and that is it." She expressed delight at being back in the UK, highlighting her preference for her home environment over the Middle Eastern destination. "I love that I'm back," she declared, underscoring her attachment to her current lifestyle and responsibilities.

The media personality even criticised the weather conditions in Dubai during her visits, complaining, "It hasn't even been sunny, it's been raining." This remark contrasts sharply with the typical sunny image associated with the UAE, adding a personal touch to her rationale for staying put.

No Immediate Plans for Dubai Return Amid Family and Work Priorities

Katie Price confirmed she has no immediate intentions to travel to Dubai, explaining, "I'm not going to go to Dubai now for a bit. I've done my bit in Dubai and with everything going on there, it's all quiet and I've got things to do back here as well." She pointed to ongoing projects in the UK, including sorting out her house and work commitments, as key factors in her decision.

"I still want to sort the house out, work, even though I can work there, I just like being home, everything is here," Price added, reinforcing her focus on domestic stability. She also mentioned that Lee Andrews would visit the UK "when he can," hoping he would "be flying to the UK soon" to engage in normal activities together.

Price Rejects Comparisons to Reality TV Shows and Defends Her Marriage

During an appearance on a podcast with her sister Sophie, Katie Price firmly rejected the idea of moving to Dubai, citing her family obligations. "I've got five children, I'm not going to just get up and move to Dubai," she asserted, emphasising the importance of her parental role. She also addressed the public scrutiny surrounding her whirlwind romance and marriage to Lee Andrews, defending their relationship against criticism.

"I want to get to know Lee more before anything. There's no rush. I don't know why people are so invested. It's nobody's business," Price stated, expressing frustration with the media attention. She drew a comparison to reality TV programmes like Married At First Sight, questioning why her marriage attracts more controversy despite her having gotten to know Andrews beforehand.

Normalising Her Dubai Experiences Amid Regional Tensions

Reflecting on her trips to Dubai, which have occurred against a backdrop of regional tensions including recent attacks from Iran, Katie Price sought to normalise her experiences. "When I go to Dubai, I don't look at it like a holiday, I don't do all the holiday stuff," she explained. She contrasted the glamorous, Instagram-perceived image of Dubai with her own routine activities.

"People always look at Dubai as pool parties, there are pool parties and you get those sides where it looks rich and people pose with flash cars. But when I go there, it's not like how you see it on Instagram, I do normal stuff. What I would do here, it's the same there," Price elaborated, aiming to portray a more grounded perspective on her time in the UAE.

Overall, Katie Price's comments mark a clear shift away from earlier speculation about a permanent move to Dubai, instead reaffirming her commitment to her life in West Sussex with her children and career, while maintaining a long-distance relationship with her husband Lee Andrews for the foreseeable future.
