Katie Price has denied claims that a sex tape featuring her and her husband, Lee Andrews, exists. The denial comes amid reports that Lee, who is said to be facing fraud allegations in Dubai, was released from Al Awir prison for a second time last month and is trying to raise £120,000 to pay off a fine.
Allegations of a planned release
In July, The Sun reported that Lee claimed to be in possession of a "short video" that could be sold for £250,000. In a voice recording to a friend, he reportedly said he needed to "get cash quickly" but could "always release" the tape. The outlet claimed he was told it was illegal without Katie's consent, after which he said he "was not serious on that".
Speaking on Andrew Gold's Heretics podcast on YouTube, Katie said she had "never done a sex tape" with Lee. She warned younger listeners against sending naked pictures, saying, "One, it's in the Cloud. You never know, it can be shared. Never do it. So I would never do it. And he said it as a joke in a voice note somewhere and I sent it to my sister because the email came through to us and I said, 'Look, he said it as a joke'."
Katie's response and ongoing questions
Katie added that she is "not saying everyone's lying" and that "you can't have smoke without fire", but she would be asking her new husband "questions". She said she doesn't want to be with someone who is "proper scamming other people", yet confessed she is still in "love" with Lee, describing the man she knows as "not like that".
On The Katie Price Show podcast, her sister Sophie called the situation "disgusting" and "f*****g out of order". Katie reiterated that no sex tape was filmed and that Lee was "joking" in the voice note. She explained her silence by saying, "Because there is so much, I'm just not commenting anymore. I commented when he went missing, but he's in prison, and I will be questioning him about a lot of things when he's out."
