Katie Price has claimed that her ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers changed after working with Victoria Beckham on the 2000 single Out of Your Mind. In her new documentary series, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, which airs on Sky Documentaries and NOW, the former glamour model opens up about her relationship with the Another Level singer.
Katie Price Calls Dane Bowers the 'Love of My Life'
Price, who dated Bowers for around a year in 1999, describes him as the "love of my life" in the four-part series. However, she believes their relationship soured when Bowers began collaborating with Victoria Beckham on the dance track by True Steppers.
"The relationship sort of changed as if, something better, as if I was a nothing because it's now Victoria and Victoria and Victoria. Victoria. F*****g hell Victoria," Price says in the documentary.
Did Dane Bowers Date Victoria Beckham?
Despite working closely together, Bowers and Beckham never dated. Beckham was already married to David Beckham at the time, having given birth to their first child, Brooklyn, in March 1999, and the couple wed later that year at Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin.
The duo met in early 2000 to work on Out of Your Mind, which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart in August 2000. They promoted the song and performed together globally, but their relationship remained strictly platonic.
Price Felt Excluded During Bowers' Work With Beckham
Price explains that while she had previously been allowed to accompany Bowers on work trips, she was not permitted to join him when he was travelling with Beckham. This exclusion led to tension in their relationship.
"I didn't understand why I wasn't allowed. I was thinking 'just because you're with Victoria now, what is wrong with me going with you?'" Price recalls. "I was in tears thinking what's happening, what's changed. This isn't the Dane I know."
Price's documentary, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, is now available on Sky Documentaries and NOW. Reach has approached Dane Bowers' representatives for comment.
