Katie Price has given a major update on the release of her husband Lee Andrews from a Dubai prison, saying she 'can't wait' to see him. The glamour model, 48, revealed that Lee, 43, could be freed as early as next week, but she has insisted she will not pay his £140,000 bail.
Lee Andrews' Detention in Dubai
Lee was detained last month while trying to leave Dubai to join Katie for their first joint interview. After going missing for two weeks, his father confirmed he was in Al Awir prison. Initially thought to be held on espionage charges, Dubai authorities later confirmed he was jailed over private civil matters.
Katie's Statement on Release
Speaking about the release, Katie said: 'He is coming out. I can't wait to see him, can't wait to have our chats, and he should be out next week, but knowing that, knowing what prisons are like even in England, you never know.' She emphasized that she will not financially support Lee, stating: 'I've made it clear to Lee, I will never give him money, I'll never give a man money.'
No Belief in Ghosting
Katie also dismissed claims that Lee had ghosted her, saying: 'I've never thought Lee's ghosted me, because I know how close we are.' She added that she is not a 'mug' and will question Lee upon his return, ready to end the relationship if his answers are not satisfactory.
Reports emerged that Lee had asked Katie to set up a GoFundMe to raise £140,000 for his bail. However, Katie remains firm in her decision not to pay, citing her past experiences as the breadwinner in previous relationships.
