Jackson complemented her in a burgundy suit jacket, grey trousers, a white collared shirt and a black bow tie. Holmes, who appeared remarkably youthful, has previously spoken about her skincare routine, telling InStyle she avoids cosmetic enhancements. 'My sisters would kill me,' she said of lip fillers. She also shared with People that she embraces ageing with gratitude, focusing on hydration, vegetables, and a consistent skincare regimen involving hyaluronic acid serum and moisturiser.
The reunion comes as the pair prepare to star together in the upcoming trilogy Happy Hours, which Holmes wrote, directed and stars in. According to Deadline, the story follows two people navigating their relationship amid career and family challenges. Holmes described it as 'a character-driven dramedy that explores the emotional journey of young loves who reconnect as adults'.
The event also carried emotional weight following the death of their Dawson's Creek co-star James Van Der Beek in February 2026 after a battle with colorectal cancer. Holmes previously shared a tribute to him on social media, writing: 'James, thank you. To share space with your imagination is sacred... I mourn this loss with a heart holding the reality of his absence and deep gratitude for his imprint on it.'
