Kate Garraway reveals Celebrity Traitors filming halted after Celia Imrie's awkward moment

Kate Garraway has revealed that filming of Celebrity Traitors was temporarily paused after an extremely awkward moment involving actress Celia Imrie. The incident, broadcast in last night's episode, left the celebrity contestants and viewers in fits of laughter.

During the show, host Claudia Winkleman was introducing the challenge, described as the 'worst team building away day in history', when Celia accidentally passed wind. The noise prompted Claudia to ask: 'What just happened?' to which Celia replied: 'I just farted, Claudia. I'm so sorry – I'm so sorry, it's nerves, but I always own up.' Claudia responded: 'I know, I always own up too.'

Speaking about the moment, Kate Garraway said: 'It was so loud! It was my favourite moment!' When asked by Melvin Odoom if filming had to stop, she confirmed: 'Yes because we were all laughing so much and for so long, including her! She's adorable, we salute you.'

The episode also saw YouTuber Niko Omilana become the first Faithful to be banished from the castle after an intense roundtable. Later, the Traitors, including Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Cat Burns, chose to murder Olympic gold medallist Tom Daley. EastEnders star Tameka Empson was also banished at the end of the game, with Kate admitting she had voted for her.

Elsewhere, Kate revealed that her children were 'furious' that she had survived the banishment, as they are huge fans of Niko. She explained: 'They're obsessed with Niko! To be fair, I didn't vote for him. I thought he was a Faithful, he was a Faithful. I don't have blood on my hands but I do over Tameka.'
