Kate Ferdinand, 35, celebrated her daughter Shae's third birthday with a trip to Disneyland Paris, sharing photos on Instagram. The former TOWIE star took her children to the theme park while her husband, former Premier League footballer Rio Ferdinand, is in America working for the World Cup.
Solo Trip to Disneyland
In the photos, Kate is seen in a polka dot top with Mickey Mouse, and her children enjoy shows featuring Genie from Aladdin and Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. She captioned the post: 'My baby girl Shae Shae turned 3 today, and we spent the day at @Disneylandparis celebrating. The most magical day ever! I have some very, very tired but happy children going to bed tonight.'
She added: 'My crazy, funny, sassy, boisterous, strong-willed 3-year-old princess Shae Shae. To think this time 3 years ago you were in NICU, now look at you.'
Reflection on Daughter's Birth
Shae was born in 2021 with congenital pneumonia and spent time in neonatal intensive care. Kate previously said: 'I've given birth, no one's here, how guilty do I feel watching Love Island and my baby is in NICU.' She added: 'I was hysterical. I couldn't pick her up. I didn't really want to be there. It was harder being next to her and not being able to be with her and just stare at her not being well than being away from her. Then I had terrible guilt about not wanting to be there. Mum guilt hit me from the very minute she was born.' After five days, they were allowed home.
Kate is step-mother to Rio's children Lorenz, 20, Tate, 19, and Tia, 15. The couple married in 2019.
