Kaleb Cooper's Four-Word Update on Jeremy Clarkson After Cancer Diagnosis
Kaleb Cooper Shares Update on Jeremy Clarkson's Cancer Battle

Kaleb Cooper has spoken about Jeremy Clarkson after footage of him in tears featured in a particularly moving episode of Clarkson's Farm. The 27-year-old farmer was alongside Clarkson on camera when he discovered his co-star had received a prostate cancer diagnosis.

Kaleb's Update on Jeremy

Kaleb, who has shot to fame since becoming Jeremy's trusted right-hand man on the hugely popular Amazon series, confirmed he had recently caught up with the former Top Gear presenter. He is also set to meet him again at Cereals, the UK's premier arable event, hosted at Diddly Squat farm.

Kaleb revealed that while the news about Clarkson's health has been tough to take, the farmer and TV show host has taken it in stride and "his spirits are high".

He said: "I see him today, and I'll see him at Cereals, and his spirits are high, which is good. I mean, that's obviously an emotional episode for people to watch. Yeah, I mean, it's only just come out, so yeah."

Being Supportive

Kaleb went on to stress that being "supportive" to Jeremy in his time of need was what mattered most to him. He added: "I think anything like that's emotional is just how you take it, you know? You sit there and you be supportive, or do you go out there and I would say mope about it, or you know, lock yourself away, and at that time you got to be supportive. And I was there for the whole journey, and I'm still here now, so that's the main thing."

Jeremy's Diagnosis

Jeremy had been discussing the harvest with farm manager Charlie Ireland and Kaleb when he dropped the bombshell health revelation, telling the pair: "I've got cancer. I've known since May."

"I had a medical, you remember back in May. I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy and it is cancer and it's aggressive, but it's really early so the treatment will be, you know."

Addressing viewers from a hospital bed during the season finale, Clarkson disclosed that he had suffered complications throughout his treatment. "We started season five with me in a hospital bed and here we are at the end of season five and I'm back in a hospital bed," he said.

"What I wanted to say was if this is all successful, I'll see you for season six, and if it isn't, I won't," he said. "Take care, everyone," he said as he signed off.

Support from Loved Ones

Clarkson's girlfriend Lisa Hogan recently spoke out following the announcement. The 52-year-old took to social media on Wednesday, June 17, to express her gratitude to fans and to thank them for the outpouring of support.

In an Instagram story, Lisa posted: "Back at the farm," accompanied by a photo of Jeremy sitting in the sunshine. She then reshared a post from Prostate Cancer UK regarding the television star's condition, adding: "Thank you for all the support today. @prostatecanceruk".
