Kaia Gerber attended the red carpet premiere of her new drama series, The Shards, in New York City on Monday night, looking almost identical to her mother, supermodel Cindy Crawford.
The 24-year-old wore a Valentino sheer column gown with spaghetti straps and a beaded diamond pattern, inspired by the high glam of the 1980s. Her voluminous, sideswept hair, smoky eyes and glossy lip also nodded to that decade.
Fans did double-takes, with many believing they were seeing a younger Cindy Crawford. The Shards official Instagram account shared footage of Gerber and was flooded with comments about their strong genes. One person wrote, 'She's a mini Cindy, beautiful,' while another called her an 'icon in the making.'
Past appearances highlight their resemblance
In 2025, at the LACMA Art+Film Gala in Los Angeles, Kaia wore a shimmering red halter dress and a middle parting, while Cindy opted for a sequinned Bardot neckline and a side parting. Both had mermaid waves and posed similarly.
In 2024, as Omega Brand Ambassadors in Paris, they wore matching black ensembles. The image highlighted their identical bone structure, jawline, cheekbones, nose and lips.
