Josie Gibson Flaunts Weight Loss in Bikini After £7,000 Surgery

This Morning star Josie Gibson has proudly displayed her post-surgery figure in a floral string bikini after spending £7,000 on procedures to combat lipoedema. The 41-year-old TV host shared a sunny Instagram clip promoting Camp Bestival in Dorset, where she will judge the fancy dress contest, while confidently showing off her results.

Surgery Details and Recovery

Earlier this year, Gibson underwent liposuction followed by a brachioplasty, or arm lift, after being diagnosed with lipoedema. This chronic condition causes abnormal fat accumulation, primarily in the legs, hips, and arms, and affects nearly exclusively women, according to the NHS. Unlike obesity, lipoedema often resists diet and exercise, leading to pain, swelling, and reduced mobility.

In March, surgeons removed approximately 45% of the tissue from her arms. Gibson documented her recovery on social media, recently telling fans she was eager to “show off my new arms.” She also adopted wellness therapies such as lymphatic drainage, collagen supplements, and home workouts to aid healing.

Fan Reactions and Confidence Boost

Fans quickly praised her transformation. One follower commented, “lookin fabulous josie,” while another wrote, “Wowww you look fantastic in the bikini!” A third added, “You look absolutely stunning! Fit hot and so very sexy and gorgeous bikini. What a milf.”

Gibson had previously admitted feeling self-conscious about wearing sleeveless clothes and wanted to feel more comfortable in warmer weather. Despite an active lifestyle, she found it impossible to shed the excess fat caused by lipoedema without surgery.

Recovery Challenges

After the procedure, Gibson assured fans she experienced minimal pain but noted the recovery period forced her to slow down. She described the biggest challenge as being unable to perform routine activities, saying the surgery “stopped me in my tracks.”
