Joe Swash was left red-faced on Good Morning Britain when his girlfriend Stacey Solomon called in to berate him for fibbing about their private life. The former EastEnders star, 36, was guest presenting the ITV show when he joked that he and Stacey, 29, used blindfolds in the bedroom.
Stacey, who was listening at home, promptly rang in to set the record straight. "And PS, we don't wear blindfolds ever, for anything," she told him, as Joe pleaded: "I was just trying to make us sound more exciting, Stace!"
Earlier, Joe had claimed Stacey had done little to prepare for Christmas Day, saying she was "a good site manager" who "sends people in the right direction". Stacey was having none of it, admonishing him: "Hmm, that's an interesting take on Christmas you got there, Joe." He quickly backtracked, insisting she had done all the work.
The pair, who spent their first Christmas together as a cohabiting couple, faced further embarrassment when guest presenter Ranvir Singh accused Stacey of being a "re-gifter". Stacey, shocked, denied it, while Joe tried to excuse his comments by saying he had not expected her to be watching.
The light-hearted exchange comes after Stacey shared a gushing Instagram tribute to Joe over the festive period, and Joe has previously revealed he is thinking about proposing.
