Actress Joanna Page, best known for her role in 'Gavin & Stacey', has revealed the emotional turmoil she experienced after discovering her father had started a second family. In a candid interview, Page spoke about the secret heartbreak that has shaped her life.
The 46-year-old star grew up near Swansea as an only child, raised by her parents Nigel and Susan. She described a happy childhood filled with creativity and a strong work ethic. However, the revelation of her father's other family came as a devastating blow.
Page explained that her father, a mechanic, had another family that she was unaware of for many years. The discovery left her feeling betrayed and confused, forcing her to reassess her family dynamics. Despite the pain, she has worked to maintain a relationship with her father.
Now a mother herself to daughter Eva, Page says the experience has made her more determined to be an honest and open parent. She and her husband James are considering expanding their family, though she admits the past has made her cautious about family secrets.
The actress credits her mother's support for helping her through the difficult time. She remains close to both parents, who often visit her in Oxfordshire to help care for Eva while she works.
