Joan Collins Reveals Strictly Warning From Fellow Celebrity Friend
Joan Collins Warned Against Strictly by George Hamilton

Joan Collins has revealed that a fellow celebrity warned her against participating in Strictly Come Dancing, cautioning that anyone over 40 could end up "screwed" if they fall and break something.

George Hamilton's Warning

The Hollywood icon, best known for playing Alexis Colby in Dynasty, was asked to join the dance show a decade ago. However, her friend George Hamilton, who took part in the US version Dancing with the Stars in 2006, advised against it.

Collins told the Mail's Weekend magazine: "No! I was asked ten years ago. My friend George Hamilton did it in America. He said whatever you do, don't do it – you have to be a contortionist! Nobody over 40 should do it because if you fall and you break something, you're screwed! But I love watching it! My daughter Katy and I watch it every single week."

A Life on Screen

The 93-year-old actress has graced screens since the 1950s, appearing in historical epics and The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas. She expressed a desire to have been in Downton Abbey, playing the mother of Lady Grantham.

Youthful Appearance

Collins recently wowed fans with her youthful look at a Summer Evening Gala. She attributed her appearance to avoiding Botox and needles, saying: "I don't believe in needles and things. I've never had Botox or anything in my face. I'd never dream of doing something like that. I have seen too many disastrous faces."

Return to the Big Screen

Collins returned to film earlier this year in A Murder Between Friends, playing detective Francesca Carlyle, whom she likened to her Dynasty character. She said: "I was given a detective set when I was a child, with handcuffs and magnifying glasses. The character I play, Francesca Carlyle, is also an actress who became famous by solving crimes on TV. And she's very similar to Alexis – I chose all the clothes she wears."
