Jennifer Lopez Shares Amusing Story About Her Twins' Celebrity Crushes
Global superstar Jennifer Lopez has revealed an amusing family anecdote about her teenage children's celebrity obsessions. The 56-year-old entertainer, who recently launched the next phase of her Las Vegas residency, opened up during a conversation with Entertainment Tonight about her twins' unusual request at a major awards ceremony.
Failed Celebrity 'Stalking' Mission at Golden Globes
The multi-talented performer, who is mother to 18-year-old twins Max and Emme, explained that her teenagers are enthusiastic fans of Heated Rivalry stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie. During the interview, when the reporter noted that Lopez and Williams follow each other on social media, the singer-actress responded with surprise before exclaiming, 'My kids would die!'
Lopez then shared the entertaining story: 'They asked me to stalk them at the Golden Globes and I could not find them. And so, I just recorded them when they came out onstage.' The performer elaborated further, telling the outlet, 'I was like, this is - I don't know where they are!' Despite her efforts, Lopez confirmed she has yet to meet either of the leading stars from the Canadian sports romance series.
About the Popular Series and Its Stars
Heated Rivalry first premiered on both Crave and HBO Max in November 2025 and received significant critical acclaim upon its release. The six-episode show was adapted from Rachel Reid's novel series titled Game Changers. A second season is currently in development and is scheduled for release later in 2027.
The series recently earned the award for Outstanding New TV Series at the 2026 GLAAD Media Awards, which took place on Thursday in Los Angeles. When asked about potential future collaboration with Williams, Lopez responded simply with, 'Maybe.'
Family Milestones and Busy Professional Schedule
While Lopez didn't manage to meet Williams and Storrie for her children at the Golden Globes, she did celebrate a significant family milestone last month. Max and Emme turned 18 in February, prompting the star to post a heartfelt tribute on her main Instagram page.
In her emotional message, Lopez recalled how her twins were born during a snowstorm in New York City before expressing how her 'life was changed forever' when they entered the world. She wrote, 'I cannot believe you are now adults…18 years old! You are both so kind-hearted, generous, and loving.'
The star continued with her touching reflection: 'It has always been the three of us!! We have been on this journey together. We have always had each other to hold on to and be that steady presence in the middle of any snowstorm. And I promise you, my beautiful coconuts, no matter how big you get, that’s how it will always be.'
Lopez shares Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, to whom she was married from 2004 until their divorce in 2014.
Las Vegas Residency and New Music Release
Professionally, Lopez has been maintaining an exceptionally busy schedule. She recently kicked off the next phase of her Las Vegas residency called The JLo Show on March 6 at The Colosseum. According to sources who spoke to the Daily Mail, the star has been putting in 13-hour days to prepare for her show dates.
An insider revealed: 'Jennifer is rehearsing night and day to make sure the show is spectacular, better than ever. She is working 13-hour days at a studio in North Hollywood with her back-up dancers to make certain she looks like she is on top of her game.'
The source continued: 'She always says she wants to be "better than yesterday," it's her thing.' Lopez reportedly wants her residency - which includes concerts on select dates from March 6 through March 28 - to remain a top attraction in Las Vegas despite competition from newer venues.
'Everyone is going to the Sphere these days, that is the town's big deal, so she wants to prove that a more old-fashioned concert at the Colosseum is still the place to be,' the source explained.
The songstress, who will turn 57 in July, 'loves to work' and 'never complains' about her demanding schedule. The insider noted: 'Some people like to vacation on the beach in Hawaii, and some like to work nonstop. Jennifer is the latter. She feels proud to be doing so well at her age and as a Latina woman.'
In addition to her residency, Lopez recently released a new single with David Guetta titled Save Me Tonight. She had previously shared snippets of the track during last year's World Pride Music Festival. Reflecting on her collaboration with Guetta during an interview with Extra earlier this month, Lopez expressed: 'It's been a while since I put out a new song, but David Guetta had this song and I just loved it. It just felt very much of the moment for me.'
Regarding her Las Vegas concerts, the mother-of-two added: 'We're very excited. We're doing the show again in Vegas and we're there every weekend in March which is exciting and adding some new songs to the show. I still do all my hits and all the songs that people know me for, but it's really done in a very fresh and exciting way.'
