Nadia Bartel was seen glaring angrily at her estranged husband Jimmy during a tense reunion outside her mother's house in Middle Park, Melbourne, on Thursday. The fashion blogger, 34, and the retired Geelong Cats player, 35, met briefly to hand over their 10-month-old son Henley in a parking lot.
According to an onlooker, the former couple 'hardly interacted or spoke' during the handover, and Nadia 'wasted no time' getting Henley and going back inside. The reunion, the first time they have been pictured together since announcing their separation last week, was apparently 'over in a minute'.
Nadia looked defiant as she held Henley, staring daggers at Jimmy while he drove away in his Ford Ranger Raptor. The mother-of-two left her shared home with Jimmy in mid-June and moved in with her parents 'permanently' in July.
It is believed the split has been a long time coming, with a neighbour saying the Bartels have rarely been seen together over the past year. 'Last year we saw Nadia at cafés in the area frequently with her parents and kids, but Jimmy was never with her,' the source claimed.
Nadia had been pictured breaking down in tears outside her parents' house on Wednesday, as the emotional strain of her split appeared to take its toll. She broke her silence on Tuesday, telling the Herald Sun it had been a 'difficult month' for her following her separation.
Friends of the Bartels have alleged that Jimmy is now in a 'long-term relationship' with London-based Australian socialite Lauren Mand. Nadia said: 'Although I'm heartbroken, I don't want to comment specifically on what's been reported about Jim's trip to the UK as I don't think that is in anyone's interests.'
