Former Lioness Jill Scott admitted she was "fangirling" as she paid another visit to ITV's Coronation Street and was spotted with some of the stars. Jill has strong ties to Coronation Street, having visited the iconic set multiple times as a superfan, participated in a special Sport Relief crossover surprise, and co-hosted a National Lottery grassroots football event on the cobbles.
Visit with cast members
In 2025, Jill visited the set alongside cast members like Jennie McAlpine and Alan Halsall to celebrate National Lottery grassroots sports funding. She also took part in a playful, behind-the-scenes mock audition at the Rovers Return pub alongside Jamie Redknapp, judged by cast member Sam Aston.
The soap integrated a special set surprise for Jill during her epic cross-country fundraising challenge where she ran down the cobbles as she passed through the North on her way to finish her monumental charity trek for Sport Relief.
Fundraising total revealed
It was revealed at the end of the challenge that she had raised £470,677 for Sport Relief, which is a charity dedicated to helping individuals living tough lives in the UK and across the world's poorest countries.
Taking to her Instagram, Jill teased another appearance on her "favourite street" as she stood in the iconic Roy's Rolls alongside Sam Robertson (Adam Barlow), Rob Mallard (Daniel Osbourne), Jane Hazlegrove (Bernie Winter), and Dolly-Rose Campbell (Gemma Brown).

Excited to have returned, Jill gushed: "Totally fan girling every time I go to @coronationstreet hopefully they never ban me" followed by a laughing emoji.
In 2022, Jill became a household name when the England women's football team claimed victory at the UEFA Women's Euros. Shortly after, Jill followed in the footsteps of teammate Ellen White and announced she would be retiring from the game after a colourful career lasting nearly 20 years.
Originally from Sunderland, Jill started her football career with her home city's women's team before joining Everton Ladies in 2006. She stayed with the team for seven years before signing a two-year deal with Manchester City.
Jill has won every domestic honour during her football career, including the Women's Super League title with City in 2017. In 2020, she signed a coaching deal with the club and went on to play on loan for Everton and Aston Villa before her retirement.
Since her retirement, off the pitch she is a regular football pundit, team captain on the sports panel show A League of Their Own, co-host of the Long Story Short podcast with Karen Carney, and charity match captain for Soccer Aid.
