Jeff Brazier embraces fresh start after split and TV fallout with Ruth Langsford

Jeff Brazier is embarking on a fresh start following a difficult month that included the announcement of his separation from wife Kate and an on-air clash with Loose Women host Ruth Langsford. The ITV presenter recently confirmed that he and Kate had ended their relationship after seven years together, with the split occurring over the summer.

Sharing a statement on social media, Brazier expressed gratitude for his former partner, noting that they kept the news private to allow time to adjust. He wrote: 'We separated in the summer and kept it private for as long as we could to give us some time to adjust. For 12 years we have been each other's safe space.' He added that they remain in touch and wish each other well.

The television personality has since thrown himself into work, travelling to St Kitts in the Caribbean to film for an ITV competition. He described the trip as 'the perfect week' and shared photos of himself reflecting on life by the sea. Back home, he also revealed a lounge makeover, complete with a new sofa, cushions and light fitting.

This fresh start comes after an awkward on-air incident during a Loose Women segment. While presenting a Postcode Lottery competition, Brazier told Ruth Langsford she looked 'gorgeous' but immediately warned her not to 'eat into my screen time' after she responded briefly. Langsford appeared taken aback, replying 'whatever' and 'your wish is my command.'

Insiders claimed that Brazier was spoken to by ITV bosses following the outburst. A source told The Sun: 'Jeff's cross words came out of nowhere and really took Ruth aback. He was spoken to by bosses who understand he's dealing with a lot of stress at the moment, but warned there's no excuse for taking it out on Ruth.' The source added that he was advised to take time away from the show.
