Jeff Brazier made his first TV appearance on Wednesday's Lorraine after confirming his separation from wife Kate Dwyer. The 46-year-old presenter appeared live from the Blue Lagoon in Iceland for the ITV show.
Host Lorraine Kelly, 65, asked gently: 'That looks so beautiful, Jeff, how you doing?' After a pause, Brazier replied: 'I'm good, Lorraine.' The segment then focused on his promotion of the programme's competition feature.
Brazier announced the split on Tuesday evening via Instagram, posting a picture of the couple and revealing they had separated over the summer. He wrote: 'For 12 years we have been each other's safe space... we gave everything and more.'
He expressed gratitude for Kate, saying: 'I'm so proud of how hard we worked... I'm also so full of respect and admiration for the successful career Kate has built.' He noted she still checks on his sons from a previous relationship, Bobby and Freddy.
The couple married in 2018 after several years together. Brazier concluded his post: 'We both deserve complete happiness and we're upset that we ultimately couldn't be that for one another.'
