Jedward – the Irish pop twins John and Edward Grimes – were spotted wandering through the crowd during Zara Larsson's set at London's All Points East Festival, after a fan unknowingly captured them on camera.
Around 40,000 music lovers gathered at Victoria Park on Saturday (August 22) for the festival, where Lorde, PinkPantheress, and Zara Larsson were among the headline acts. While the performances drew enormous crowds, two well-known faces had slipped into the audience unnoticed by most people.
Fan spots Jedward in her video
Festival-goer Millie had been filming Zara Larsson performing her hit Symphony when Jedward strolled directly past her camera. She did not notice until she rewatched the clip later that evening, when the twins' trademark blonde quiffs were unmistakably visible as they breezed past.
Millie shared the clip with the caption: "POV (point of view): Jedward literally walk past you, but you're so oblivious, you don't even notice." She added in the description: "Not very jepic of us."
The post spread rapidly, and Jedward themselves replied in the comments with a photo of the pair. Other fans who had crossed paths with the twins at the festival joined in, flooding the thread with their own snaps and reactions.
Summer of London concerts
All Points East is far from the only spot where Jedward have been turning up this summer. In July, they were spotted in the crowd at My Chemical Romance's Wembley Stadium show, and before that, they had been at the same venue to see Harry Styles.
When footage of the pair at the My Chemical Romance gig began doing the rounds online, reactions were priceless. One person wrote: "Jedward popped up randomly at a Harry Styles concert last week as well. I think they're just on their side quests." Another quipped: "They're just respawning at every Wembley show and I'm obsessed."
Perhaps one fan put it best of all: "This is a Jedward world and we are living in it."
While most festival-goers had a fantastic time over the weekend, the incredibly dry land caused by UK heatwaves saw people tying bandanas around their faces and wearing masks to protect themselves from the dust kicked up from people walking on the dry ground. Several people took to social media after the event to share videos of themselves washing the dirt off their faces, as so much had clung to their skin it looked like they had a bad tan or hadn't blended their foundation.
