Jared Leto has denied the accusations of criminal sexual conduct made against him by four women. The Hollywood actor, known for his roles in Morbius, Requiem for a Dream and Suicide Squad, released a statement through a spokesperson: "I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false."
Allegations from four women
One woman alleges she was sexually assaulted in a motel bathroom when she was 17, while a second alleges Leto threatened her with sexual assault when she was 19 and had been left alone with him in a hotel room unexpectedly.
A third woman alleges Leto had underage sex with her in California when she was 17, which would be classified as statutory rape. She claims Leto "shrugged off" a conversation about the age of consent being 18 in that specific US state.
Further claims of grooming and phone calls
A fourth woman alleges she was groomed by Leto and that he abused his status as a celebrity by making explicit phone calls to her repeatedly when she was 16 years old. Leto allegedly suggested they should have sex during one of the calls.
A further four women have alleged that they had unusual and often sexual phone calls from the actor when they were younger.
Incident at music festival
Another woman has alleged that when she was 14 Leto told a security guard to take her back stage at a music festival after he made a crude comment about her chest during an autograph signing session.

The allegations are part of the BBC documentary Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret, which was released on 29 July and is available to watch on iPlayer.
