Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher made a fashion statement at Royal Ascot, attending the event with his wife Nicola. The former Liverpool defender was seen wearing a tailored suit and a black top-hat, while Nicola donned a stunning coral-coloured dress with a matching hat and sunglasses.
A Day at the Races
After enjoying the races, Carragher shared a picture on Instagram, captioning it: "Great day at Ascot with Nicola, but the top hat will not be getting worn around Bootle!" Nicola also expressed her delight, calling it "the most amazing day" and her first time at Ascot.
Carragher's Thoughts on Football
Speaking to Sky Sports, Carragher discussed England's World Cup campaign and the upcoming Premier League season. He praised new Liverpool boss Iraola, saying: "He's done an amazing job since he's come into the Premier League to Bournemouth." Carragher also reflected on England's defensive shortcomings but admitted it's "ok to dream."
Family Celebrations
The Carragher family has had much to celebrate recently. Nicola praised their daughter Mia for landing a lead role in The Hunger Games on stage and their son James for returning to football action for Wigan after a knee injury.
