Singer James Morrison appears to have found new love with travel blogger Mariel Jones, 18 months after the suicide of his wife Gill Catchpole. The couple have been sharing photographs of their travels on Instagram, including trips to Rome, Sicily and Copenhagen.
Jones, who describes herself as an adventurer, first posted a picture with Morrison at the Beat-Herder Festival in Lancashire last July. More recent images show the pair embracing and kissing during a romantic getaway to Rome two months ago.
Morrison, 40, was left "completely heartbroken" after discovering his wife's body at their Gloucestershire home in January 2024. The 45-year-old café owner and caterer died by suicide after battling PTSD and post-natal depression.
The couple had two daughters together and had been together since they were 17. Morrison described their romance as a "fairy tale", though he revealed they had not been in a relationship for some time before her death. He once said of their meeting: "It wasn't the easiest start, but I still see it as really romantic... It's like a little fairy tale."
