TV chef James Martin has taken drastic action to protect his mental health from online abuse, blocking thousands of social media accounts.
Extreme measure
The 52-year-old presenter, known for shows like Saturday Kitchen and his own ITV programme, revealed he has blocked a staggering number of users who have sent him negative messages.
In a recent interview, Martin admitted that the constant trolling had taken a toll on his wellbeing, leading him to adopt a zero-tolerance approach.
Impact on mental health
He said: "I have blocked 30,000 people. I just think, why would I want to read that?"
The chef's decision highlights the growing issue of online abuse faced by public figures, with many celebrities speaking out about the effects of relentless negativity.
Martin, who has been open about his health battles in the past, including a cancer scare, said he now prioritises his mental state over engaging with critics.
